Today I'm just going to share a super easy recipe for Guacamole.
I head somewhere on a blogging podcast that you should try to make your blog posts at least 2000 words long to make it more likely to be found on google (I'm not really sure the reasoning behind this). Well I don't think there is anyway I can make a recipe entitled "5 minute Guacamole" a 2000 word article, not unless I just type the word avocado 1500 times.
So anyways, on to my super short guacamole post.
Guacamole is a huge staple for me, as well as for lots of other vegans I'm sure. Every time I go to a restaurant one thing I can always depend on is chips & Guac. It actually drives me crazy when I go to a restaurant and I get terrible guacamole. Whenever I see my food coming and it's just a gross green paste I'm just like "Ok, what even is this??"
So my favourtie Guacamole recipe is my own, I know it's fresh, I know it's has lots of lime juice, and I know it doesn't have cilantro! (I know i know apparently it's suppose to be in guacamole but I HATE cilantro so if you want it feel free to add as much as you like, but for me my guacamole will be cilantro free!)
Alright then lets get into it..
5 Minute Guacamole!
Quick - Easy - Delicious - Vegan
- 2 Large or 3 Small avocados (I just happened to have smaller organic ones this particular time I made this recipe so I used 3)
- 1/4 Cup diced red onion
- 1/4 Cup diced tomato
- 1 Clove of Garlic, Minced (I use a garlic press for this! I'm obsessed with mine!)
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin
- Juice of 1/2 a Lime (I use one of these)
- 1/4 Tsp sea salt (or to taste)
As far as the instructions go for this recipe they are so basic I can't even.
Just add it all to a bowl and mix together, That's it! I like to leave my avocado a little chunky because that's how I like it but you can mash it really well if you like.
I enjoy mine with some really good organic Que Pasa Chips, the thin ones with a twist of lime are SOO good! You can also enjoy with cracker or on toast, whatever you want!
I actually put a big spoonful of the guac right on top of a pizza and it was super good! If you think you need cheese to make pizza I'm going to let you in on a little secret, pizza can still taste AWESOME without cheese!
So there you have it! Super easy super quick and super tasty guac! The hardest part of this recipe is trying to get a good green avocado (which can actually be pretty challenging sometimes!)
I hope you try my easy guacamole and if you do please let me know! I'd love to hear about it! Or if you have a different version of your own feel free to share :) do you add cilantro to yours or is it just me that hates it?
Thank you for reading my post I greatly appreciate it! Make sure to save it to your Pinterest page to try another day :)
All the best!
